EUTM Somalia conducted SILENT THUNDER II/26, a training exercise designed to strengthen coordination and cooperation between force protection teams, medical personnel and operational staff, enhancing their ability to respond effectively to complex operational situations.
Through realistic scenarios, participants rehearsed counter-IED procedures, casualty evacuation, medical support and vehicle recovery, testing their ability to operate as an integrated team under simulated operational conditions.
The exercise placed particular emphasis on clear communication, shared situational awareness and timely decision-making. By practicing procedures together, the participating teams were able to synchronize their responses, identify areas for improvement and further strengthen interoperability.
Exercises such as SILENT THUNDER II/26 contribute to maintaining a high level of operational readiness and ensure that personnel remain prepared to respond effectively when required.
Continuous training, coordination and teamwork remain essential to supporting the safe and effective conduct of EUTM Somaliaโs mission.
