EUTM Somalia welcomed the Head of Mission of EUCAP Somalia, Mr. Kฤstutis LANฤINSKAS, to the Mission Headquarters in Mogadishu, where he was received by the Mission Force Commander, Brigadier General Elio MANES.
The visit highlighted the close cooperation between the EUโs military and civilian CSDP Missions in Somalia and their complementary roles within the European Unionโs integrated approach in support of Somaliaโs security sector.
While EUTM Somalia contributes to strengthening Somaliaโs defence institutions through advising, mentoring and training, EUCAP Somalia supports Somali authorities in developing maritime security, policing capabilities and the wider rule of law framework.
Through continued coordination and cooperation, the two Missions bring together their respective expertise to provide coherent and sustainable EU support to Somalia, guided by Somali ownership and national priorities.
